Silly songs about the occasion can be a great hit at any kind of party - and NOTHING makes a person feel more special and honored than knowing that songs were written especially for him or her. The songs will be written to sing with well-known tunes.
There are several different options for using songs - You and your cronies could sing songs in honor of the occasion as entertainment for the rest of the guests OR you can give the guests the words and had them sing the songs themselves. This can be REALLY FUNNY - especially in office settings.
